The concept of this lift keel sloop created by Tripp Design uses modern technologies in carbon construction and composite rigging to achieve a very low displacement while maintaining first class interior comfort designed by Dick Young. The layout offers three guest cabins, a generous owner’s suite and crew quarters for two. Careful design allows this superstructure to be kept low and attractive. The overall deck layout provides well-protected family areas and an open, functional sailing cockpit. The design emphasizes clean, flowing shapes, an uninterrupted 270-degree view from inside, both sitting and standing, and a deck that appears to flow into the salon through the windows.
The interior with a raised main salon features birch veneer with teak and wenge details and hand picked leathers and fabrics. It is built on Carbon/Nomex panels to achieve the lightest solution possible. Weight is also saved by the use of composite rigging and a new generation of batteries. At the same time, cruising comfort is ensured by a carefully designed sound insulation package and an extensive list of appliances and board systems. The lift keel provides the capability to access shallow harbours and secluded bays.
